Marlin .22lr autorifle. both very useful. CorBon's 150 gr softpoint ammo makes the sks fully the ballistic equal to the 3030, with a gun costing 1/3rd as much, and [practice ammo costing 1/4 as much.

If the sks lacks a rubber recoil pad, and you are sensitive to recoil, get a thick shotgun style pad, shorten the buttstock if need be, to make the padded stock fit you properly.
