r u for real? The .30 C bullet is .308" in diameter, the 5.7 bullet is about .22" in diameter. You should be able to look at the rds and the barrel and tell the difference. It sounds like somebody didn't properly assemble the bolt to the operating rod, or something similar is going on. I'm not that familiar with the CArbine, but I know that if you break the handguard on a Mini 14, the op rod wo'nt stay engaged to the bolt, and the Mini's design is based heavily upon that of the Carbine.
