a CONSTANT basis, for use on the 600 yd line. The primer pockets are 'loose", but if you "think" that they get 6"groups at 600 yds, by popping primers, you are VERY ignorant. They get 80 gr vld's to nearly 2800 fps,in 20" barrels, *******.

Popping primers might be okay on the target range but sucks for shtf. You cannot compare the two.

Just who are these 'match shooters' that overload their rifles till they pop primers? I've never heard of such stupidity. They, of all people, want their rifles to LAST. Top match AR's are not cheep.

Gunkid, post links to articles were these 'match' shooters overload their rifles. We know if you don't, is't because you can't as there isn't any.

guys got 55 grs, 3000 fps, 14" TC 223's, 20 yrs ago,

u lames are just so far behind the curve that you can't even see the road. 60grs, 2800 fps is not at all dangerous in a good 11.5" AR. 2900 fps might be,but 2800 aint. All you have to do to prove me CORRECT is pull the bullets from Winchester white box 55 gr ball, put a charge of 27.0 grs of AA2520 in the case, seat a 60 gr Hornady V max sp on top of it, and run some across the Chronograph. Check out the cases and the primers. All is fine. The sort of loads that get 2900 fps can sometimes pop primers, but that's all that happens, and there are ways to deal with that.

At Canadian Service Rifle matches, ball ammo is provided to you by the government. There are no handloads, just service issued ammo.

No, you run them past a chrono and YOU endanger yourself, gunkid. We asked you to post a link to any site that is used by match shooters and their loads that PROVE your point. You haven't cause you CAN'T.

What is more, I thought we were on 'ignore'? Couldn't resist, could you gunkid.

BTW, the CAR is a losers gun, and that's a fact.

Isn't this 27-gr load the one someone actually put in a .223 case and the powder filled it almost to the top? You're taking your life in your hands if you compress smokeless THAT far in order to seat a bullet.

Yes, and they put it in a winchester case (which GK kept claiming they didn't) You can find this in the sticky thread in the GK forum at patriotnetwork.

This is one of the reasons that GK hates the sticky thread. Stuff like this is kept around as refference material and he can't try and claim that we're lyng about what he said.

GK knows nothing about long range high power rifle shooting. His ignorance is apalling!
