Cabela's has .22LR 40 Grain Mini-Mags in stock, no limit. 36 grain HP's and 40 Grain solids. Just ordered a thousand that I didn't need.

One of those hoarders !
Heavens no, just stocking up before the hoarders get it all. Actually, this is the first Mini-Mag buy I've made in some time. Good to see no limit. $8.99 a hundred ain't cheap, but I don't think we'll see it cheaper any time soon.

For buying a quart of 22 shells..?

I moved most of my ammo to our business' shop when we put our house on the market last year. This was the first of three loads:

Doesn't look loke a lot from a 'fill' perspective, but it was right at my 3/4-ton truck's weight limit and there are a lot of twisty, hilly roads along the way.

About 12-14 years ago, I owned a condo townhouse and I had a flooding problem in the basement. I had to move in excess of 50 ammo boxes up to the second floor from the basement. That was the last time I ever used the large 20mm ammo boxes for ammo!

I got a bunch of the 5.56MM ammo can's when I was instructing for the Fed's. On the up and up, I asked what to do with the empties and was told "just toss them in the trash", I decided the "trash" was the back of my pick up. I split them with two other guy's. They are waterproof and very handy. I should have kept more!

They make for very good toolboxes on tractors & such, bolted to a fender or somewhere else out of the way.
