Are semi-automatic MP5's (or simmilar) firearms legal? If so does anyone know of any prices for them?

Yes it is. They run between $3,000 - $4,000. The 16" barrell can be cut down but then it would need to be registered and that adds expense.

For an actual full-auto MP5 you would be looking at $10,000 - $12,000.
