Neat idea I heard

Heard a suggestion recently. Guy says he prints his maps out of his computer onto transfer paper that he gets at Walmart, and then irons them onto a piece of cloth. Says it makes then durable and waterproof.

Anyone here tried that?

I bought a laminating machine myself last year for maps and other stuff.
