in 2004. A hardware store sold them to me $4 each IIRC, full of some sort of varnish. I poured out the varnish and set it afire. Burned a long time, really hot and I needed to leave. So I started scuffing dirt onto the fire, it kept on burning, so I tried to stamp it out. big mistake, got the shoe souls smoking, very hot on the feet.
