When it's for BLOOD, there is just WAY too much degradation of handgun ability to make the thing even halfway viable at longer ranges, when being SHOT at. Yes, there's been some LUCKY exceptions, so what? Guys have fallen out of planes and landed in mud, snow, cushy branches of trees, etc, and survived, but we all KNOW that such things were luck. well, so is winning at 15m plus, with a ccw pistol vs autorifles.

I can see an auto-rifle user who does not remember where his safety is or how to rack the slide in a tense situation be beaten buy a good pistolero. But since stup*kid has neither access or abilty to practice with either pistol or rifle then he is up the creek as is.
