I figured I should mention that Remembrance Day/ Armistice Day is quickly approaching us. Speaking for myself I sometimes forget the sacrifices made by some of my family and by so many other families in all the wars that have come and gone. I had family serve in both WW1 and WW2 some came home and some did not. Most days I never give my freedom a second thought, but on this day I am humbled by the spirit of such people who would give everything for us. Here is to our vet's and to what they have preserved for US.

"Tho' we are not now that strength which in old days"
"Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are"
"One equal temper of heroic hearts,"
"Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will"
"To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield." (Tennyson)

I second that Hipster and will be bringing goodies to the elderly - and not so elderly - vets I know.

Great sentiment Hipster. We all owe our veterans much more than we could repay.

How true.

We would not have any of the things we take for granted if it were not for their sacrifices...

too bad their grandkids want to just give it away, in the name of "homeland security".
Do you ever say anything positive?
