75th Airborne Rangers? Small World. Dalat, April Fool's day, 1970, when the NVA tore us a new A**H*** with rockets and recoiless rifles. The 75 th went out in 6 man Hunter/Killer teams, our 1st Cavarly unit swept the firing area. 14 NVA KIA by the Rangers, 9 by us with two (wounded) prisoners taken. Don't mess with Rangers and Cavalry.

I left for the last time in '68. Finally had enough. I think that the Cav was still at Pleiku then, must have moved later.

On the off chance you are talking about forrest rangers, consider:


AZ game and fish department has a much higher number of officers in the field, then there's the national park service ranges (who's areas overlap, increasing the number of "rangers" in the field.)

Then, you can throw in a few BLM guys (there's your 1 per 1000)

basically, your wrong, or at least your claim doesn't apply to all states.

Having seen some of the optics they use, you are probably seen more often than you know.
