and they will continue to get cheaper and more prevalent.
Definitely. The only weapon-mounted night-vision or thermal device I have is a sightmark wraith, which was only $499 new two years ago and has dropped even more since then. And it's better by far than the twice-as-expensive "gen 2+" night vision monocular I bought 15 years ago. Those in the video look even better, but I'm happy with where I am currently. I'm not in battle, and mine is really just for armadillos & coyotes. It 'could' be pressed into defensive use, but not real likely in my situation.

Also in the same topic, the small handheld thermal viewers have gotten very good & pretty cheap lately. The Flir-One Pro is surprisingly good and under $400, the regular Flir-One is pretty good and under $300, and for close-in use the little Carson NV-200 is fairly good and is $94.
