I haven't tried my suppressed ciener unit yet on any reactive targets. I may try the apple thing with subsonics, just out of curiosity.
FWIW, the CCI subsonic .22LR has a huge cavity; I mean bigger than any .22LR round I've ever seen. The reason I stick mostly with the remington subs is because the CCI expanded so much when I tested them in water, and I'd susually rather have the lower expansion and higher penetration of the remington. (Feral animals in the middle of the night, I'd rather have the penetration.)
Maybe I'll try the apple thing with both loads & see what happens.
