Have a silencer, etc, and you wont need more than 200 rds of the softpoints, either. Cause if you have sense, most of your "fighting" will be done with BB gun quiet subsonic 22's to the head, sub 50 yds, from cover/ambush, and holding the bolt shut with your non-firing hand.. If you do that, you'll hear the "plock!" of the bullet hitting his skull, and his gear and him falling will make more noise than your shot.

Again, not all the ammo that most of load and/or shoot, is about combat or shtf. Not even a small percentage of it really; certainly not 'most' or 'all'. I shoot somewhere around 8-12 thousand rounds a year, mostly 9mm, .223, and 22LR; and about the only things I kill any more are the painted finishes on hanging steel plates.

And "crying about how ball ain't good enough"..? Really? You are the one who has started multiple threads about how ball ammo is inadequate in a 1911; nobody else here that I recall has said anything negative lately about fmj ammo in any caliber.

you really don’t have a clue about how much ammo people have on hand. You’re also totally confused on what your position on the topic is...

you claim we shouldn’t bother stockpiling ammo, then say we aren’t.

also, your reliance on the .22 unit will get you killed in a hurry.

why are we initiating ambushes anyway? A one man ambush leaves the one man dead more often than not.

you really should take some time and evaluate your strategy. The 22 is not as quiet as you think, and if you’re holding the bolt shut, follow up shots are going to be difficult. 50 yds or less makes you a very easy target.

you have never been in an ambush, either for real or a FTX. You shouldn’t comment on things you don’t understand.
