Speaking of the AWB, this issue hasn't really been on the front burner lately. Has anyone heard any recent predictions on what will happen??

I wrote letters to my senators regarding the AWB due to expire next September and mailed them about a week and a half ago.
I wrote one to the DemocRAT, and two to Gordon Smith (R). The next day, I read in the paper that Gordon Smith's son just committed suicide. It didn't list the cause of death (and I still don't know what it was) but I hope to God that he didn't use a gun.
I put off writing these letters for a while and when I finally do it, look what happens.

My best guess is that it won't pass the House. W has said he will sign it IF it gets to his desk.
The conspiricy theorist in me says that next summer we will see A LOT of gun violence, shooting sprees, etc OR heavy coverage of all gun related crimes in order to scare the sheeple into pressuring lawmakers to pass a MORE RESTRICTIVE version.
If you look around the net, you will see more "hi caps" and preban weapons for sale at prices lower than what we have recently seen. I think it's a good sign that people don't want to be stuck with this stuff that they hoarded, hoping to cash in.
HOPEFULLY the days of $20 standard capacity mags will be back in 355 days.

That is exactly why I quit buying accessories at shows last year. I also decided to temporarily forego purchasing one of those "evil black guns". Might be some good deals to be had in October....:smokin:
