Obviously, then, the 308 is plenty of rifle for anything, if you are even half man enough.

Yes, a .308 CAN take an elephant, so can one of those "worthless" monster revolvers. Hpowever, staring that much tonnage, my mind thinks more along the lines of a caliber that begins with a "4" as a minumum.
