given that he has been thrown off of just about every board he's ever been on, and given how he BRAGS about it from time to time, and given that he WILL, if he HASN'T ALREADY bad mouth this site at whatever site he finds that he can post at in addition to this one.
I suspect you may be correct. Maybe not consciously, but certainly in his subconscious. His behavior is way too destructive on this or any board he is on.
He made a few mistakes when he made us his enemies. One, I don't take having my life threatened lightly, of course that was beforeI got a look at him and how pathetic and non-threatening he really is. Then he crossed over a major line and was nastier than I even thought possible for him on a young lady fighting a terrible disease (he knew about it) who showed she was far more knowledgeable about reloading that he could ever be.
I think many of us would continue to post here if he were banned. (good luck, he's like a cockroach, scurrying from username to username.)

You could consider the sandbox approach they used at patriotnetwork.net. They gave GK he own forum, and banned him from all the others.
In his forum, he was free to be insulting and generally make an idiot of himself. Anyone posting in that forum knew what they were getting into, so no one could whine about it.
All the other forums were free of the flame wars and the crap. Some good information got posted and all was pretty peaceful.
Just a thought.
