barrel, when it comes to rapidly stopping big dogs, with chest hits. guaranteed, if the 356 is loaded properly, with 55 grs, 3 segment Split Nose Prefrags, at 2200 fps. The effects are identical with hitting them with a .22 Hornet, rifle, for the reason that the shock and tissue destruction are actually greater with the 356 Load. Not many have hit much in the way of animal-numbers with such a .45 load, but quite a few have done so with the .22 Hornet.

No, ***deleted***,I AINT talking about carrying a .22 Hornet. I'm talking about having a truly handy, controlable pistol, which HITS like a .22 Hornet rifle does, effectwise on flesh and blood. If your ***deleted*** can't FOLLOW that line of thought, it doesn't mean that the line of thought is incorrect, ya know. deleted because it was derogatory

Actually, the 230-gr +p .45 ACP will beat your 356 is loaded properly, with 55 grs, 3 segment Split Nose Prefrags, simply because your ammo doesn't exist, and noone chambers a gun in it anymore. If you aren't a good enough shot to place your bullets where they need to be, and need a high-velocity cartridge to make up for poor marksmanship, then carry a .357 Magnum, or .357 Sig. Both come in lightweight and small pistols, especially the Sig, as it's chambered in guns designed for the .40 shorty, and are no bigger than their 9mm brothers.
