from a farmer, granary, feed store, etc, get the meat jerked-cached, and you can just stay in a variety of "hides", for 6-12 months, until things either GET calmed-down by something else, or else they calm down because 90-99% of the population is DEAD. Either way, things WILL be calmed down, a LOT, in one year, letting you start gardening, if careful. After the first year, there will be almost NO need of anything but a .22. Nearly all of the centerfire rifle rds will have been burned off, by fools like garnad, and there will be LOTS of remembrances of HORRIBLE deaths caused by .22 hits (no med care=infection). Nobody is going to be willing to risk facing a suppressed .22 auto rifle anymore, once they know the FACTS. a 22 rifle, subsonic load, still has 60 ft lbs remaining at 150 yds. That's the same level of energy as the .25 ACP has at the muzzle. Which is why the miitary uses that minimum energy level as its standard for "still lethal", for various ranges and loads. That's ALSO where they got their standard of "penetration of a 1" pine board" level of "lethality". A .25 ACP will BARELY pierce a 1" pine board. It will BARELY bury the bullet in a hickory shovel handle.

that's right, there's cattle, grain nearly

everywhere. you AINT got jack squat where you will probably END UP being. Somebody else will beat you TO any pre-prepared spot. count on it. Either that, or you won't be able to get to it at ALL. Most likely the latter.
