smithing alterations done? That's what some mods come down to, especially on the 1911. without those "guarantees" of getting the safeties "off", getting a proper firing grasp on the gun, etc, you HAVE to either work at the draw constantly, or you are SLOW at drawing and hitting.. Since .45 ammo is 20c a shot, refusal to do $100 worth of smithing means you don't practice, either, which is what I figured all along.

Except, your argument is a non-sequitor. And complete nonsense. The amount of practice and deciding what gunsmithing mods to do have ZERO to do with each other.


My 1911, has a number of mods on it. I didn't give up any practice time or ammo (other than the time it was with the gunsmith).

Not everyone may agree with your choice of mods. Your choices are based on your OPINIONS.

Not doing the mods doesn't mean that someone doesn't practice. You're just "inventing" reasons to try and claim superiority. That might work on small children or impress your prison pals, but most adults can read what you write with comprehension.
