Couple of answers:
* Most SXS shotguns are not silver soldered, they are soft soldered.
* Shotguns are barrels, ribs, and fillers are soldered with the parts in a jig. If you heat up the barrels to the point of having solder melt, you will have a mess on your hands. THe barrels will come apart, the solder filling the valley between the barrels will puddle somewhere on your bench, and the filler and rib will spring away from the barrel.

If you are dead set on filling the hollow under the rib after cutting the barrels, use a metallic epoxy like FastSteel or the like.
