The AR15A2 and the Anshutz belong to my oldest boy. He grew out of that Anchutz last year (old picture) and now my youngest boy campaigns it. His AR is a pretty stock A2 with GI contour barrel and Accuracy Speaks trigger group. He seems to like the GI web slings on his field rifles so thats what it wears. He'll get smarter with age LOL. Even with his basically stock rifle he shoots well into the "Expert" class with it.

The M1A is one of the first M1A's I bought, it's a tuned rack grade rifle, lightly bedded into a slightly modified GI fiberglass stock and wears a MRT M1907 sling. The rifle is getting close to 20 years old and has been though several GI barrels. I like to keep it "naked" my two NRA match prepped "Service Rifle" M1A's now have MK4 Leupolds on them and my other two "rack grade" M1A's are scout scoped.

The flat top AR is in .223 Ackley Improved and is pure NRA Match rifle. Kreiger barrel, Warn Palma sights w/adjustable diopilers on both ends, Krieger/Millarzo trigger, heavy match upper with no provisions for dust cover or forward assist. It now has a totally adjustable Iron Works butt stock assembley and the upper is slotted for a bolt handle installed on the side of the bolt. It's pure target rifle.

Shotgun stage is a waste of time, $

because if pistol can't handle it, the rifle is nearly always the best next step up. The shotgun does SO little better than the rifle that it's not worth owning, much less practicing with.

If a shotgun is so wortjless why does the weapon type still exist so widely spread as a tool and weapon?. I have qualified on 12ga in the USN(interior building/ship security), and dont know anything thats as powerful, yet versitale at close ranges. Not refering to "Spray & Pray", but more of a "Urban Skeet". Not all of us like the AR platform, and most of us dont need/desire/want/need, a "can". As a "Convicted Felon/Firearms Guru" why do you keep giving impractical advice?, and how do You justify spouting gibberish that a teen could see the BS factor on. One last question, why do You respond to your own postings?
and how do you dettle which face gets to win the "Argument". When reading your threads, I feel like Im listening to a JF Kerry speech.
