My commentary on your idiotic posting belongs to me. I would never dream of trying to tell these men who are my friends what to think. Actually, it is you who are constantly criticizing them (and me) and calling us dum-mies and st~pes and telling us what to think and do. It is your posts that I comment on because they are pathetic and amusing at the same time.

If anyone (except you) thinks I have overstepped my bounds, please PM me.

Yeah , you know its a sure sign of the Apocaypse when such a sterling example of "manly men" like Melvin accues people of being"whipped" because they don't reflexively disrespect women in general....it could be because his time inside left him oriented towards MAINLY men in general....I could have done WITHOUT that mental image of one of his more tender moments in the shower though....

Ok I could come back here with a snappy remark like most of the ones I give Melvin when he does his typical rabide baboon act.
But I'd rather comment on why I think he dislikes people that stand up to him and women that do so in particular. Going by what info I have on his child hood I think he was pretty much a loner and a mama's boy. I really think his mother looked the other way concerning some of the stuff he did. I doubt very much he was good at "smuggling" guns past her in and out of the house. Parents tend to notice more stuff going on than what they are given credit for and often look the other way as long as it does not develop into what they see as a problem. There is also a hint that his father was abusive to him which would explain some other things about his behavior. Since I believe that he was raised on a farm he more than likely got a beating for "not doing the chores" and that probably is where his hatred of animals comes from.
I think this pattern carrried on into his adult life and you can see it in his reaction to problems and his interaction with people. Him doing time also had a further negative influence on him. Some people have a series of hard knocks in life but seem to over come them and learn from them. Melvin, as far as I can tell from his internt personality has not. I often wonder if a total lack of any faith of any kind has something to do with this.
I realy think this is why he lashes out at people that disagree with him and women in particular when he fails to con his way into getting what he wants. He just does not know how to deal with rejection in a civilized manner.
Just my .02.

Rika, I'm glad that you controlled my thoughts while I was at the bookstore this evening. I bought Jim Goad's "******* Manifesto" and its an engaging read thus far!

Well TODD, you've got a good analysis there for the most part.. I just don't buy the abusive father part. Most of us that have had real parents have been "abused" by today's standards. Yeah, he probably didn't do the chores around the farm a couple times and got his @ss beat for it. Big deal, move on. But no, being an insipid sociopath, he did what all sociopaths do, blamed everything but him. Oooh, it's his father's fault he is the way he is becuase those "woodshed philosophy" sessions were so horrible. It's the animal's fault, if they weren't there he wouldn't have had chores to be beaten because he didn't do them.

Same thing with his adult life, it's everyone else's fault he flushed his life. And being the rampant sociopath now, his behavior towards others isn't a surprise. It's typical for that type to act like your best friend, until they don't get what they want. Then they become violently angry. The slightest insult (to them, probably not meant as an insult, i.e. having a differing opinion is an insult to them) and you're now at permanent war with the @sshole because they think they deserve to be bowed down to. Their attitude is worse when it's someone they think is weaker then them (i.e. women) don't bow down to them. It's compounded by the fact that RIKA and our other little sis, constantly ruin his sh!t.

Magnum88c- I didn't mean to imply that his father giving him a beating for not doing the work was the whole problem. Like I said some people get similar treatment or alot worse in life and come out better, guess I didn't make it very clear and in re-reading it looks Like I didn't.
Getting an ass whipping from his old man ain't the cause of all his trouble just that in combination with Melvin's general character might be a part of it. Saying his father was abusive to him was wrong, I'd probably be more right in saying his old man probably had a bullying type of personality pretty much no way of knowing for sure though anyhow.
Hell some peopele have a decent childhood and end up as a$$holes as adults.
I think some people may even be born with a sociopath prone personality; just hard to tell exactly what brings it out.

I think you have it backwards - I think it's more accurately, "RIKA already knows what u guys r interested in - and that's why she carries weapons!" :D

LOL! Weapons are used against enemies. No need for such things in the presence of true friends.

TODD, I wasn't calling you out about that, maybe I put it wrong. I wrote that because it is BS for him to use it as an excuse. Yeah maybe his dad was a sociopath, or just an @sshole, or maybe his mother was and that's why he hates women. I dunno. My point is, he's got no one to blame for his life and his outlook but himself.
