Fortunately the bears are smarter than that!
saw 2 bears at local dump yesterday,
one was cinnamon-colored, about 200 lbs, hiding behind the blade of a bulldozer. We drove by less than 30 ft distant. The other was black, about 300 lbs, about 200m distant, digging for something in the grass.
