(for rear takedown pin detent and safety detent) for 8x32 thread, and install set screws, with screwdriver slotted "heads". Notch the safety's R side, and you can then depress the safety detent with a knife point, and remove it without having to remove the safety. A CAR buttstock will remove and reassemble with the ratcheting plier of the SOG Multi-tool, saving you the need to carry the little wrench. Shtf, no reason to care about "toothmarks' on the locking ring. Removal of the regular AR stock is considerably more of a PITA, and concealment of the latter is pretty much out of the question. The CAR'S buttstock also allows you to adjust length of pull for other shooters, or for use with body armor and pack harness.
