and a second shot broke its hip. 308 ball aint all that super duper. it's ok, but it's not better than 223 softpoints when it comes to stopping people with a single hit. It might be just as good, but why give up the .22lr conversion, silencer, luminous sights, concealability, GI rd, one arm use and 20 other advantages of the AR in 223, to use a NOISY, heavy, bulky 308 that's only "just as good"?
