Anyone know of a way (that actually works) to mount sights to a single shot shotgun?

I like to use my single shot for deer (I know, limited range of 50 - 75 yds, tops) because it is so easy to carry in the woods. The only thing I don't like is the single bead front sight. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way to mount sights (maybe a scope, but that would start adding bulk I don't want) to one of these shotguns.

I've seen the "universal heat shield with sights", in catalogs, and may try it for the price, but I was wondering if anyone had anything to say.
