You see a scraggly loner; baggy camoflauge pants and wearing a trenchcoat.

BUT, the weapons are under cloth, so NO ONE will suspect a THING, huh?

Yeah, all of that sacrificing quality and real world performance for conceilment sure paid off, huh?

Shhhh, not so loud mike, MELVIN will hear you!
He could wear clown shoes to top off the disguise. Then no one would suspect.

RIKA :D

why do you insist on being such a drama queen about everything? You cannot make a post without insults and death threats - veiled or otherwise.

Uh, MELVIN, I thought the CAR had an eleven inch barrel, actually it started out as an eleven and a half inch barrel, but it keeps getting shorter. Did you cut an inch, off of the 11 inch CAR's barrel, or did you shoot it off?

Curious people want to know ...
See a scraggly looking guy with a backpack and camo pants, now? Not a big deal is it? He could be that guy with a car15 in his pack and pistol in his pocket. Or he could be just any other transient/backpacker guy.

See a guy (again NOW not "SHTF") dressed in full camo with LBV, rifle slung across back (or in hand), big belt gun strapped to side and camo backpacks, etc. There will be little doubt what this person is or what he has....

The aforementioned fellow at least has a chance of making it through populated areas without being harrassed or fired upon. The later guy is in for a world of trouble.

oh, I don't know if that is 100% true or not. I had a real pleasant conversation with a ranger in Sitgraves Nat'l forrest a few months back, I was in full cammo BDU's with WEB gear and an FAL.

Wasn't shot, wasn't hassled, was maybe given a glance or two, but that's it.

Whenever we go coyote or varmint hunting - full camo bdu's, side arms - go into a store or resturant, nobody cares. It isn't that unusual here.

Now, I have no doubt that some cities, some areas of the country, that the situation may be different.

You just can't make a blanket statement and apply it everywhere.

I live in an open carry state. I also have a ccw.

People are armed here.

it's NORMAL.

Of course theres areas where neither the backpacker nor the camo guy will get into trouble. I seriously doubt that the backpacker guy is likely to get bothered in your town either. But in many (if not most) suburban and urban areas a guy in full camo with guns is gonna get ALOT more attention than a fellow with a backpack who looks kinda scraggily. ;)

BIG BAD MELVIN....the New Song

Every mornin' on the Hill you could see him arrive
Standing six-foot, weighing about one-twenty-five
Kinda' scrawny at the shoulders and lacking a spine
And when he spoke at all, it was mainly to whine
(Big MELVIN, Big MELVIN) Big Bad MELVIN

Nobody seems to know what's in MELVIN'S soul
His 'beliefs' are based on the latest poll
'Though he'll say what it takes to get your notes
It's the criminal agenda that he really promotes -
Big Bad MELVIN.

Some one said he came from an Illinois town
Where he joined the Army and gained renown
'Earning' three shooting medals, Yup he's a star
The home folks said, "This boy will go far"
(Big MELVIN, Big MELVIN) Big Bad MELVIN (Big MELVIN)

Then came a day back in '81
When he renounced all the shooting medals that he had won
Then MELVIN turned against his country and his shooter friends
And sold them out for his own selfish ends (Big MELVIN)

He appeared before judge and had to leave for a prisoners woe's
Giving aid and comfort to policemen's foes
It was clear to see whose side he was on
Some say he helped cause the fall of respect for a moron- Big MELVIN
(Big MELVIN, Big MELVIN) Big Bad MELVIN (Big MELVIN)

He claims to be a member the working porti-potti poor
Yet his wife owns mansions from shore to shore
He never had to work a day in his life
'cause he learned it helps to have a wealthy wife! - Big MELVIN

Now he wants to be rid of TAPPAN and others, our Survival docents
and be a Commander-in-chief of those he resents:
The American soldiers who fight and die
To give him the freedom to tell us his lies
(Big MELVIN, Big MELVIN) Big Bad MELVIN (Big MELVIN)

Thousands have sacrificed their young lives
To help ensure that our nation survives
A vote for MELVIN is a slap in the face
To all the brave soldiers that he's disgraced

FADE (Big MELVIN, Big MELVIN) Big Bad MELVIN (Big MELVIN)

Bill, I looove your new song - and you wrote it yourself! I can see it now. A MELVIN TV show. Melvin action dolls. Melvin stress toys. Gee, a whole new industry is born. Melvin can make personal appearances too and lip-sync his song while strumming his guitar cleverly disguised as a canned CAR.

My mind is overwhemed - I think I may go blind.

Am I the only one who caught this? He's constantly peeing himself over the ever-shrinking CAR being the uber-SHTF weapon, and now it's not for SHTF at all.
Oh crud. Magnum, I think Melvin just revealed his real intent. I hope somebody throws a catch loop over his head before does something crazy.

RIKA :(
I can see Melvin the Movie.

Starring Woody Allen as Melvin.

Screen Play By MADD Magazine.

Theme Song by Stillwater.

Theme Song and Soundtrack performed by Blain And The Reptoids.
Hey Todd,

You ever hear from Blain. I know that he was over at HCT and then migrated to Battlerifles where he complained that he couldn't shoot his M1A and wanted some one to personally instruct him. Then he disappeared. Maybe he grew up ... or was eaten by a reptoid. :D

RIKA
No I have not seen him online in awhile.

When he was on PN I chatted with him about weapons a few times.

I heard about the reptoid theory of his but never directly from him and honestly don't know if he still belives in that stuff or not. Sort of reminded me of that tv series "V" from the 80's.

-additional "en block" clips would be carried in British 5.56mm bandoleers, nylon with a closable snap;
- Holster used is the US M7 holster in which I carried a handgun on duty while in the Military while overseas and in the field.
- On my pants belt is located my Gerber Multi Tool and Mini Mag w/ assorted filters.

The only quibble that I would have with you kit, is the Mini-mag flash light. I have had so much trouble with the Mini-mags that I have switched to the SUREFIRE M2 CENTURION.

Other than that, everything you have chosen is absolutely first rate.
I've been carrying the same Mini mag for 9 years now 5-7 days a week, only needed to change the bulb 3 time. I love mine.
Thats very good service. In fact really good service.

There is one setting here at my computer desk, that has had a dozen, or more bulbs in it, since I bought it. I can't trust it at all.

Maybe the bulbs I bought were out of a bad batch, I have bought bulbs in the past, a half dozen at a time.
