Terry,I never shot the cheapo Stars,but on the subject of later stuff,I did like the Firestar&Ultrastar (mm's.Apparently the two that I shot were pretty good shooters&never malfunctioned.That may or may not be a fluke;but here's a question:Is someone out there going to pick up production of the old M31&the Megastar series?Someone mentioned a possible start up of the company under a new name/merge&I can't for the life of me remember what the specifics were.
