Maybe all those grade B movies I've seen on cable have affected my mind but I really like stag grips on the single action. My Ruger Blackhawk wears a pair. Dad has a Colt SAA from the 1920's that has an original pair with just the right patina. They are beautiful, functional and feel good - not to mention that they're just plain sexy. Sure you have to be careful with them because they can break and chip but that can happen with anything.

Maybe I'm corny and old fashioned but I like stags anyway. Does anybody else feel this way?

Both my Vaquero's currently have the original wood grips. I just haven't had the time to check anything else out. But yes, I like Stag grips also.

I like stag on knives, but not guns.

On guns I prefer Rosewood or Ivory. Of course you really bend over for real ivory, but once you get it scrimshawed and mounted on a gun with blue deep enough to dive into, it's all worth it.
