Deepen the chamber 1mm, shorten 38 Super cases to 9x18 JB configuration, remove the cases's Semi-rim in the lathe, load a hollowbased, 50gr solid copper hp to 1900 fps. 25% MORE power than a .22 mag rf RIFLE offers, and 2.5x the frontal area of the bullet, too.

U can lay hands on a Star Pony for $300. It's 6" long, 20 ozs, just right for a front pants pocket. 6 rd mag, SA, and its locked breech is what lets you safely load it this "hot". I'd prefer it over a full size and wt 1911, full of ball ammo, for typical civilian ccw use, because it's pocketable, and 99% of such need is 10 ft or less, 90% of it just "bluff", in that you never have to actually HIT anybody with a bullet. Tranfer ALL of 400 ft lbs to a guy's chest, get a FAST double tap,and the odds are REAL good he'll be stunned for .50 second, allowing you to follow up with a brain hit. Such a load will pop his gourd just fine. Star 380 needs a speed lever on the safety, luminous sights, stippled frame, trigger stop, and a ducktail frame tang, for optimal handling, and really should have a Colt style firing pin and stop fitted to its slide.

You really should consider doing some research on ammunition advancements since you went to jail. No need for cobbled up sh*t!
