whatsoever for more range than the scoped shorty 223 offers. Be out in the open, in daylight, you will probably get shot, regardless of how good a rifleman you are, or what gun you have. Bad tactics is just stupidity. Not having a can on your rifle is BAD tactics. You will miss more, have flash and blast revealing your position, and scaring off game. No point in such stupidity.

Excuse me, but you don't do real field excersizes in the boonies in the daytime, let alone at night.

If it's too dark to see you sneaking about with good binos or a rifle scope, it's too dark for you to move about to any great degree in terrain that you are not intimately familiar with without injuring yourself and/or making a significant amount of noise.

As far as the scaring off game - amazing how many people are successful hunters without the need for a suppressor...

In the fantasy world all is well and good, in reality you will find out how difficult it is to keep top the dark if you want to stay alive.

Since .223 SPs will blow up hitting branches, then sticking to heavy cover is pretty stupid. All you really do is nulifiy the ability of your weapon. This is even more true with a 11" POSCAR where you HAVE to use SP bullets to get any kind of short range stopping power. Only an inept stupe would do such.
