Funny you put it that way. For a long time, my standard line to people was "I like smith revolvers and colt autos". That died when colt came out with their Double Eagle and American 2000 abominations.Bad thing about those S&W, they are butt ugly! Best looking Smith auto ever made was the model 39. Always said Smith should have stuck to revolvers an left the autos to COLT!
 To me, a glock is the AK of the handgun world. They're ugly, they're not comfortable (to me personally at least); they manage to be clunky-looking & clunky-feeling at the same time. But like the AK, they're generally very reliable, tolerant of lax maintenance, and simple to teach. How could you mention the G word in the same paragraph as Smith!
I've always loved N-frame and L-frame smiths, especially with 4"-5" barrels. They just feel right.Just ordered another Smith. Model 27 Classic with 6in. barrel.
