I have a Mossberg Model 46M(b) bolt action that the scope mount holes in the receiver are stripped. (not me, bought it that way at auction)
I've tried looking to see if heli-coils were available in 8-48 threads, but unable to get any information. Any other options?

Thanks, Jay

what size are the holes? Do a search

For Brownell's Supply, talk to their smithing techs. do a search for Roderus Custom Gunworks, and post this on their forums. It's possible to put heat control paste in the chamber, and weld up the holes. Possibly also retap them larger? Perhaps fill the holes with screws (loctited in place) then redrill to a size smaller than the screw?
