I'm lucky if I get to shoot at 500 yds once a year lately, ranges with targets at that distance are few and far between. 30 years ago, I used to shoot a lot of Service Rifle matches so I was comfortable with 500-600 yd shots back then. These days I max out at 300 yds mainly because that's the longest range I currently have immediate use of.

Melvin usually limit's his fantasy shooting to 100 yards. Anything over that is almost impossible. He must have shot at targets at 300 Meters with an M-16 when he was in basic training so I can never understand why he thinks 300 yards plus with .30 caliber and above is impossible.
