Hell, Rich, I always used steel, or paper

targets I MADE. I hated spending money on anything but reloading components or .22 ammo,and I begrudged THAT. When you are making $7 an hour, gross, 3c a shot, for your own cast bullet reload .45's, was about all you feel like spending, and 1c for .22's, 20,000 rds a year of each.

I, personally, have not yet had the pleasure of trying out Tannerite targets; but I went to the Pittsburgh Glock Shoot this past March; and several of the shooters, there, mentioned that they had been shooting at Tannerite. Everybody had something good to say about this stuff - which apparently really goes off with quite a loud bang!

GunStock 2004 is going to take place in Henderson, NC at the end of August. I'm thinking of going this year. Maybe I'll e-mail Fernando and ask him about having some fun with Tannerite - yes!

Man, that brought a thought to me that hits me every now and again. I've been dying to go to Knob Creek, but it always takes place at a bad time for me. Last year I drove right through Knoxville the weekend it was taking place in October. Of course, it was 3am and I was on my way to Chicago to do a reptile show there.... And I just checked and both events are the same weekend again. Rats....

Sounds like they would be great in a John Woo movie! Not for me though, I blow things up for a living without using a firearm. But then I'm exceptionally lucky to have an occupation where I look forward to going to work in the morning.

Tannerite is great stuff. You just have to mix it right to make it go boom. Personally, I like the buckets over the bottles. hehehe

Be warned. If you use it, treat it with respect. Don't screw around with it. It is a lot of fun though.
