revolver, ccw-capable 4" barrel, and SEE how "fast" your repeat hits are. :) you can work at it all your LIFE and probably never touch .50 second for reliable repeat hits. With a 20 ga autoloader and slugs, .25 second repeat hits is quite feasible to demo. So much for the .44 as a "bear stopper". You'd better PRAY you never have to stop a bear with nothing but a pistol, and if you do, it better not be some slowassed pos .44 revolver. The right loads in a .45 auto would be a much better bet. As in 160 gr swc's, hp'd to make them "dig in" to the skull, rather than just glancing off, at about 1200 fps. That's actually a pretty mild load in a 5" barreled Govt Model. It will get that same bullet to 1400 fps, quite safely, with 10.0 grs of Unique, ya know.

yawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwn!!!
Didn't I just post over at the hunting forum about a guy who had just that - a .44. It saved two lives and killed a grizzly bear.
IT doesn't count. He didn't use a timer.
Well you got me there, he did say with a timer!

But can you imagine that, not having a timer, and still having the time to shoot that bear! I'll bet someone here finds it hard to believe that this guy probably never practiced with a timer but yet was successful to save his own life and the life of his client. :fullauto: :deer:
I think these days, if I needed a pistol in bear country, I'd buy a 10mm semi auto. I've been tossing the idea around lately between a Rock Island Armoury or a Springfield Armoury.

we can tell you know nothing about bears. nothing. They're stopped more than 95% of the time with a handgun, including several with a .22

but you keep your fantasy BS, and your made up requirements.
