Some things just don't work well, I guess, for every application.

I thought see thru scope rings were a neat idea, until I tried to use them. Can't see a damned thing through them when light gets low and the rear sight is almost impossible to find. If it's too dark for the scope, it's going to be too dark for those metal sights under the scope rings as well.

not if those sights have luminous

and if that scope is way up in the air

like an AR15 carry handle scope is. I made a Velcro-wrap installed cheekpc. One "divot" in it fits the cheebone, puts you eye at the rear sight. Another divot, almost atop the comb, is for your chin, puts your eye at the scope.
