shapes and materials, same with baffles, found nothing that was more effective than stacks of compressed screenwire "doughnuts. With high v rifles, particularly with hot loads in short barreled 223's, it was necessary to intersperse metal washers in between the screenwire "donut" baffles. If this isn't done, the heat and blast effectis will unravel the spindled, formed into shape screenwire. The subsequent shots, striking the screenwire, will unravel the wire more, and eventually, the bullets will be tumbling inside of the can, destroying all of the baffles, usually within 5-6 shots.

In order to make the can maximally effective, a "sleeve" tube has to be mounted around themain baffle tube. If you drill holes radially, into the rear 5" of the inner tube, then you vent the gases into the area between the tubes (sealed at each end by a welded in place "washer". This area in between the tubes is optimally about 1/8" of space.

The blast, right at the muzzle,is quite capable of driving-forward, 1" or more, in a few shots, the tulip shaped expansion device used by many suppressor designs, as well as the "spool" of the Sionics designs. The hammer blow of the gases would compress the rest of the (screenwire) baffles that much. This would of course then allow the expansion chamber to get misaligned with the bore, and cause bullet strikes, ruining the rest of the baffle stack.

You can spend scores of hours machining "k" style baffles,or you can spend 3 hours machining washers and forming screeenwire baflles, take your pick. Pay a machine shop to make your washers, 1 hour, $50, and they will never knowwhat you use them for. Have another shop turn out the baffle forming kit, and they won't know, either. That will keep them from stealing your as yet unpatented new "toy", right? :)

What you're advocating is a violation of federal law, dickhead. They'll probably throw me off the board for calling you that. Somehow in your befuddled dogturd of a mind, you feel that you can rationalize involving other people in a criminal activity. Is it so you can plea bargain your way out of jail by ratting on those same machine shops, saying that they're producing suppressor parts? What would masaad have to say about that? I think that under your 100% bluff, dickhead exterior, that you're actually a flaming liberal trying to sabotage this forum. You probably sit around hoping that somebody on this site will follow your peabrained suggestions and get themselves in a world of s--t. Won't happen, so play by the rules or shut your face, before you're face down in a jail cell. Actually, you could wait 'til after.

u r an ignorant jerk. Anyone can legally

make cans in several countries around the world. The Net IS worldwide, jerk. Also, it's legal to make a can in about half of the US states, if you first apply for a license from ATF. Actually, it's legal in all states, because the 2nd and 14th (not sure about the latter) amendments say that ANY laws interfering with ANYTHING about the right to keep and bear arms is unconstitutional, and therefore, null and void. What YOU are is a typical cheap, inept, chicken[bleep] punk, so scared of Big Brother that just the THOUGHT of breaking a law makes you piss your pants.

They say that anyone who represents themselves in court has a fool for a client. You'd have the advantage of being a fool going in. I'd love to see you defending yourself. You couldn't punch your way out of a wet paper bag, let alone convince a judge that because you interpret laws different than him, that you are right. They also say that ignorance of the law is no excuse, in your case, ignorance would be your only excuse. A little learning is a dangerous thing, drink deep or taste not the pieirian spring, where shallow draughts intoxicate the brain, and drinking largely sobers us again...dickhead

u r a chicken[bleep], ignorant sellout punk

and it SHOWS. :) I have represented myself in court just FINE, thanks. It beats having a dumptruck attorney, especially the kind who TAKE your money, then do their LEVEL best to convince you that you 'have no chance", much less put up a REAL fight, getting you out on REASONABLE bond, and delaying the trial for YEARS. :) They are SCARED to do everything that they KNOW to do in order to delay a trial, get a REAL deal for their clients. The system HAS to get over 90% of defendants to cop a plea, or they CAN'T get them tried within the constraints of the speedy trial act. So they INTIMIDATE and CONVINCE attorneys to sell out their clients.

Actually, GK, you lost.

Again.

Like always.

And, like usual, you simply declare a win without actually having won.

Is it painful to be that stupid? I would think that it would have to hurt, alot.

Tard,

First of all, a K baffle series or the more elaborate Z baffle will out perform anything you could ever come up with. Secondly, the "inner and outer tube" idea came about in 1942. The "Sionics spiral" as you call it was not a Sionics design, but a British design licensed to Sionics.

Okay, now, a K baffle stack can be machined in less than 2 hours with a good lathe and mill.

You are a hack job... I won't even say artist because you can't even get any ideas good enough to rate that.

Now, I have a question for you... with regards to your .223 suppressor, what kind and where do you obtain the tubes?

Mike
