average of 5 tries, 5m apart, from low ready, WITHOUT ear protection, with hi-v rifle, dumb ass. EVERYBODY flinches at THAT much blast, and flinching has little to do with not having flash at night, not scaring off animals, and not calling in MORE enemies, dumbass.

If you're talking about 2 12x18 targets at 100yds, I did that to prove a point. Didn't have a timer but I'm pretty sure it was close to 2 seconds. Won't do it again without hearing protection.

Stup*kid, in combat you get auditory exclusion. For those with 6th grade education, that's simply your mind excudes most sounds. That's why deer hunters say they don't remember hearing the shot, and why people in gunfights don't remember even shooting their gun.

Shooting on the range, on a nice day, is NOT the same as shooting in a gunfight. If you don't know that, then you don't know your arse from a hole in the ground.

I can post several links to professionals who say the same thing. Only a dumba*ss like you would even 'think' range shooting is the same as combat.

Been there, done it, didn't develop a flinch.

Yep, it's loud as hell. BTW, the .223 is a lot nastier than the .308 in the same length barrel on the ear splitting scale.

combat won't make you the sort of shottist that I am, old man. All it does is make you grateful for being LUCKY. You FLINCH when you shoot this fast, with no ear protection, with such loads, EVERYONE does, and I can PROVE it. What happens in combat is you MISS a lot ,and you get LUCKY, and something or somebody else saves your ass.

Gunkid says: "You FLINCH when you shoot this fast, with no ear protection, with such loads, EVERYONE does, and I can PROVE it."

Sorry buddy. Auditory exclusion works. Besides many of us have the discipline to control our flinch instinct for a few rounds.

EVERYONE? ROTFLMAO! Tell that the Army and the Marines you moron. Our soldiers and marines have killed vast numbers of men firing powerful weapons without ear protection. And since you have never been in combat you can PROVE nothing! :madeuce:

Gunkid, your so stupid, you don't even realize your an idiot. You are talking about self defence, not some stupid IPSC match. Fine 27 years ago, you were up and coming, great but it was 27 years ago. Now your a WANNABE trying to relive the glory days, but your can't touch a firearm without getting arrested. Hard Ball has been there, he is so far above you, if he dumped, it could reach speeds of 200 miles per hour before it hit your head. Get real.
