and you "think" you're going to get dozens of them (needed to secure a "fort") to agree on kid discipline, guard duty, latrine-duty, patroling, etc? :) SURE they will and you'll be the boss, right? you're fos/deluded.

need several shifts of people at EACH point that needs guarded. The military has at least 10 guys for each guy in a combat role, and 100 taxpayers funding those 11 guys. YOu'll have nothing of the kind. So the "fort" concept is a kid's fantasy.

there is a REASON why dependents are not allowed into combat zones. Shtf will be full of dependants (and men not doing their jobs because of the dependents' crying about this or that) You can count on it. you'll have a dozen people hanging around your neck for every one that's waf in a fight.

Melvin, ever been to Israel? There are no "dependents" in that country.

u can't get 6 people to agree on load/rifle and you "think" you're going to get dozens of them (needed to secure a "fort") to agree on kid discipline, guard duty, latrine-duty, patroling, etc? :) SURE they will and you'll be the boss, right? you're fos/deluded.
Some of us actually get people to work together toward common goals on a daily basis. It's not always easy, but if you're working with rational adults, that helps tremendously. If they're not rational, they don't get to stay.

That's a basic principle of organization and cooperation, and principles don't change just because circumstances do.

Adverse events bring out the best and worst of all people, until those circumstances occur it is difficult to say who is "waf".

I seem to recall about 30 guy's working together perfectly in extremely adverse conditions. None older than 23. I think they called it a platoon.
