on the gun, hardly at all. After the initial 200 or so "proof" rds, you can just remove it,or use the "loud" version that you have of the same gun. there is no need whatsoever of the can's being able to fire more than 100 rds between cleanings, realistically, and having a canned gun is still a HUGE tactical advantage if it needs the cleaning every 30 rds, too. :) Why do you THINK that field personnel don't MIND having to "wet down" their cans every 5 rds or so? By the time you've had to fire 5 rds, in any one incident, SOMEBODY is screaming, shooting, etc, and you've LOST the discretion advantage. The "dryed out" (ie, slightly louder) can is then still capable, however, of removing your flinching, flash at night, etc.

A slide lock on the .22 pistol is nice, for the RARE occasion when you need the shot to be as quiet as possilbe, but it better be feasible to disengage that slidelock, rack the action and fire AGAIN, in very little more than a second flat, cause crap happens, and a "perfect" shot can easily go to hell, when somebody coughs, sneezes, etc, and you miss the brain hit.
