Umm, ok sparky, can you state which sections of the ARS support your claims of what is or is not legal? How about case law? Why don't you just give us the differences in the law on self-defense between Colorado and Arizona? (or pick any other state that borders yours.)223 fan said:

I recommend that people review the laws for their own states before listening to GK, or me for that matter. Find out if the local gun shop or range has a list of gun friendly atty's or if one of the local clubs has one that is a member that you could talk to.
We just went through a session, with a simulator, that included distance scenarios (the operator had the ability to change the actions within the simulation and the outcomes at will.) - there was also a legal advisor present to review what we did.
GK, you are the one that doesn't necessarily know what they are talking about.
Too bad you couldn't keep this in the thread where self-defense was being discussed.
But, you had to make sure you got credit for starting another "original" thread....

There's been a lot of discussion, and some good posts that pretty much negate this thread fragment's central premise about who doesn't have knowledge about self-defense.

When I was qualifying for CCW instructor we covered this subject a lot and even had two detectives give a lecture on it and answer questions. Also, the ARS (Arizona Revised Statutes) is available online. There's also a book or two condensing what is generally acceptable and what isn't in AZ.
You talk a lot about blowing people away and always being ready to do so, but then you yell nonsense about how the perp needs to be given a sporting chance.
