either avoid it entirely, or only pass thru it at night. it's really hard to make a night ambush worth a crap, especially under shtf conditions, and virtually noone is going to have the time to WASTE on maintaining such an ambush-ready condition. DETECTING your presence, at night, is one thing, HITTING you with a bullet is quite another. Who's going to HAVE lots of ammo, to be spraying the brush and darkness with, every time that they hear a twig snap, hmm? Nobody, that's who. such shooting will just attract MORE killers. So will stupid, noisy mines, etc. The dogs and cats will be setting off those things, *******.

I'm lost trying to make sense of your reality? Remember "the best battle plan fails to survive first contact". Just because you want it to happen that way, doesn't mean that it is going to happen that way. With your lack of knowledge of field craft you will make an easy mark in the bush when you face someone experienced.

GK, tell us all about how you recognize ambush terrain. What does it look like - the charcteristics. In the real world, the only 'ambush terrain' that you can recognize is the men's shower room.
