He is probably talking about me living on the prairies. What he doesn't understand is that those that actually survive if the balloon ever goes up, will be able to cope and learn about living in any enviornment.

He might be talking about me, living in the desert outside of Phoenix.

You know, it takes a special kind of man to live near Durango, Colorado, of all places, and be utterly inexperienced in backpacking, hunting, and outdoor skills in general.

JD, I can survive in the desert if I have to. You couldn't survive in Shangri-La with water fountains and daily air drops of Big Macs.
