rangefinder, etc, won't BE in your vehicle. $150 sks MIGHT, and taken down, 10" barreled CAR-15 MIGHT be in some innocuous little case,or be inside a (velcro sealed) slit in the seat, etc. :) The latter can get your guns across Mexico, etc, and into Costar Rica, Belize, etc, and be at least semi-ready for the bandit-punks who you are fairly likely to encounter on such a drive. The taken Down CAR-15, scope, can, .22 unit, etc, can be built into the (home cast) aluminum base for some big pc of machinery that you SHIP to such countries, too. :) Try THAT with M1A, bozos.

Yeah like you couldn't make that base for a big piece of machinery just a little bit bigger to fit M1As in.

Try try again mr-desperate-to-put-down-308.

Maybe you'd like to meet some insurgents from Iraq who are wishing we'd been using extra short ARs instead of 18" 7.62s, they might have lived long enough to take one or more of us down if we'd been using poodle shooting popguns instead. Ooops my bad, they're dead, it's funny how getting hit with a 30 cal 155gr AMAX tends to do that, and does it RIGHT NOW! No waiting around for a bird to come and scavange.
