SOG is selling them in "Excellent" condition for $425.00. $10.00 more if they remove the grease. $10.00 more for hand select. If you missed out on these when they were $120.00 you'll start crying, but if you want one bad enough you may want to bite the bullet.

They're good rifles-especially in Unissued Condition. When NOT well maintained+corrosive M67 ball, the problem was always erosion of the gas cutoff valve for the grenade launcher... Unissued condition makes them as desirable as an old, straight M59(no grenade launcher). No chrome bore, but every one I ever used was accurate.

My understanding for awhile now has been that the ones offered as unissued condition are often arsenal refurbs that were not issued after the arsenal refurbished them. That is what I hear; I am merely repeating it here, not giving any credence to it one way or the other.

If you can score one for a reasonable price in VG-to excellent condition, go for it. I've seen some that were effectively " Unissued/New Condition ", and others (obvious Yugoslavian Civil War veterans)whose constant/heavy use with corrosive ammo and either no time to maintain (or,the indifferent attention given by some irregular/paramilitary types) worn out with bores in sewer pipe condition.
That said, some merely APPEAR beaten down, but are great shooters.
Again-check that gas system.
