I just wanted to go in and add inteests, location etc. Things that at first I wasn't sure I wanted to let everyone know. I also noted that some people had different notes under their name and though something like that may be appropriate...

At the top of the screen, to the right, there is a button that says 'user cp'. That stands for USER CONTROL PANEL. That's where you need to go in order to update your profile.
