Just a heads up to let you all know that this site will be converting to the latest version of vBulletin probably tonight (7/16) in the early am hours. So if you can't access the message board, that is probably the cause of the problem.

The format is going to be somewhat different, but not terribly so. There were some hacks done to this version you see now that I am not going to have transferred over to the new version simply because they are not being used here. There may be a bit of disorientation at first, but one other site I had converted over has been received very favorably by the people using the new version.

So bear with me, please.

When I get a chance, I'll play around with the colors. I used mostly grays in the older format. Maybe something more akin to gun metal dark blue would be appropriate.

When you are viewing the forum, there is a drop down menu link near the upper right hand corner that says "Forum Tools" with a downward pointing arrow. Click on that and it will give you a menu, that has one of the options to mark the forum as being read.

I put in some color codes to make threads that you have already read a slightly lighter color than the unread threads. Not sure if I like it or not, but maybe it will grow on me.

Thanks Rich.
It always takes a while to figure out what all the new toy will do.

I haven't quite figured it out completely yet. There is a section in the admin area that I can set up to give all registered members a "reputation factor". It is a combination of number of posts made, length of time registered here, and the ability of people to vote on each post made by a member.

I figured the best way to figure it out was to enable it and see what happens. Might be fun, but then again it might cause me more questions about it then would prove to be worthwhile. So we'll just see what happens, I guess. I can always disable it if I need to.

I like the cute comments when you click on the rep pwr button.
Also the quick reply is nice.

This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
