tests proved it wasn't even AS effective as a handload in a locked breech 380. I had long known that the 38 wasn't NEARLY as controlable as was the 380 Star, and anyone can see which one makes you look like a potato smuggler.
Had a couple of 2" .22 Kit Gun Smith revolvers over the years, til I put the M21 and Smith 2214 and the M34 on the machine rest. Then I quickly sold the revolver, because it just couldn't measure up, utility wise. Once I saw how much accuracy the pocket auto's COULD have, it was just a case of modifying them and practicing enough with them to be able to realize that 2" or better grouping at 25m. That's all that the Kit gun could deliver, and it of course can't be efficiently silenced, and it has the same potato-bulge of the cylinder, in one's pants pocket.
