with AK'S, cause they "think' that the harder they yank on the trigger, the more they "hump" their shoulders into the butt, the faster the bullet goes. :) So much for any "need" to fire at ranges greater than the 700 yds offered by a 24" 223 sniper rifle, using VLD match bullets. Your only concerns are if they have the belt feds, grenade launchers, mortars, and coordinated discipline, radios, etc, to outflank you, call in help, etc. That wont be the case if shtf, and by far most of the populace of the US is JUST as ignorant about guns, and many of them "think" that an AK is THE way to go. :) It's SO reliable, you know. It will ALWAYS fire, until u run out of ammo, TRYING to hit a head that's bobbing around cover,or a dodging torso, at 300m. :)

Now your fantasy is fighting third worlders armed with AK's who hump their backs to make the bullet go faster. But then you save yourself by bobbing and weaving at 300 meters.

Put Mr. Sock Puppet back on your foot and talk to Mr. Teddy Bear - he's much more sensible.

RIKA

YOU can't hit a dodging man at 300m

more than once in 10 shots, and your silly garand doesn't HOLD 10 shots. :) While you are goofing off TRYING, he will be 400m away, too.

Ya wanna bet on that Melvin?

You wanna bet I cant hit a weaving man more than once in 10 shots at that range?
But then again that would mean that you would have to SHOW UP to lose.

An author by the name of Leroy Thompson about 10 years ago matched the M1 Garand against an M1A to compare which rifle could put more aimed shots down range in a minute. The Garand won. I'm sure you would be unpleasantly surprised at how effiecient that I am with my Garand.

Hi, Zombo. Pat says to come to the

Matrix site. They have it fixed so old pos JJ doesn't DARE hack it.

Leroy Thompson teaches High School English, in Arnold, MO, dummy. He is like you, a D class shottist (ie, lower 50% of entrants. If u can' even come within 30% of my hit times, I'd buy you a Magnum of Champagne, dummy.

Your memory fades dipstick, I was a "B" class shooter before I quit IPSC in 95/96. It doesn't change the facts.

And I hear stupekid is has a novince rating at shooting. Stupekid dreams of some kind of Zulu at Rorke's Drift, but in reality he would be one of the stupes at Isandhlwana. Stupekid, since you seem to be a history buff with the Roman Empire thing, tell us about Isandhlwana. How you and your CAR with a can would whipped their ass? You do know about Isandhlwana, don't you stupekid?

Class B was as high as I ever got as well, but I only shot duty-style guns. No comps, no beveled mag wells, etc. And the last time I shot ipsc was in 1991 or 92, so it's a moot point regardless.

Most of the trophies I have have 1980's dates on them, which makes a person feel old at times. But that's okay - when I was 25 or so I hated the idea of getting old. When I was 55 or so, I realized that I hated the idea of NOT getting old. :)

you really have zero combat experience against people with AKs that want to kill you. Your fantasy world and reality are very far apart.

Also, a 24" AR is not your shorty. Your need for special ammo is laughable.

If I was "stuck" with an AK, I would not be under gunned, as it would be comparable to your shorty AR, and is also very suppressible.

You should compare the .300 Blackout to the 7.62x39 some time...

but that would take effort on your part.

By the mid '90's, "Practical" & IPSC should never have been used in the same sentence. It was not conducive to new shooters.
